  This rating is not a direct reflection on the Longview branch. It is, however, a reflection on Woodforest as a whole. There was an accidental charge by a merchant, it took Woodforest a fraction of a second to charge my account, yet after the merchant reversed the charge and then called, faxed and communicated through email, 5 days and the reversed charges have not even shown on my account. This would normally be of little consequence, but being 900 miles away from home to attend a school, and having my account inaccessible due to this mistake, it is rather disheartening having to depend on the kindness of strangers for such things as meals...even after explaining the situation to the bank they basically said not their mistake so not their problem. So if you're looking for that down home, care about the customers first, kind of bank, this may not be the bank for you.

  They have a very hard time keeping employees for some reason. I bank there and am pleased for the most part. I do wish they had a receptionist to answer questions and the telephone. They DO NOT answer the phone, they only return calls and it is sometimes a long wait. It is easier to drive 14 miles and wait in line sometimes for only one teller on duty.
